an outcast oracle, a mysterious curse, five supernatural strangers, and choices that could lead to love and a cure...or a horrifically gruesome end.
What's the Touchstarved Fandub?
The Touchstarved Fandub is an episodic fandub (unofficial voice acting project by fans) of the demo for Touchstarved, an LGBTQ+ gothic horror romance visual novel by Red Spring Studio (currently in development)!Though the demo is unvoiced (as of November 2025), with our fandub, you can indulge your eyes and ears with a range of very attractive and very red flags. ;)New episodes are currently being uploaded to Silver Dreams Studios' YouTube channel on a regular basis. If you feel like checking out the fandub and/or sharing it with someone else who might enjoy it, we'd really appreciate it. And of course, please consider supporting the original game when it's released, too!

More about Touchstarved
Touchstarved lets you create your own customizable MC (main character), complete with three different potential origins that affect parts of the narrative and dialogue choices. In a shadowy world roamed by dangerous supernatural creatures, will five monstrous strangers help you find salvation from a terrible curse...or damnation?Touchstarved is a mature game recommended for older audiences and the demo comes with trigger/content warnings, which this fandub shares by extension. Please feel free to skip it if you're uncomfortable with any of them; your mental health comes first. As described by the developers: "horror, unwanted advances, violence, alcohol and drug references, strong language, and serious injury."Special thanks to Red Spring Studio for giving their permission to produce this fandub! We are not affiliated with Red Spring Studio--this is a project made by fans for fans. You can visit their official site for more info about the game and its development progress, and play the unvoiced demo on itch.io and Steam.
The story of the Touchstarved Fandub
The outcast oracle Silvessa is determined to break a mysterious curse that keeps her from touching another human with her bare hands...lest they lose their minds. Will she ever be able to feel another's warmth without fearing the consequences, or is she doomed to live without that which she longs for most?Five hauntingly alluring strangers--all with their own agendas, secrets, and willingness to assist her--may be the key to sating her desperate desire for a cure. But at what cost?
(freak-quently asked questions)
Is the fandub fully-voiced?
Yes! All of the narration and each character in the demo is portrayed by a different voice actor: the five love interests, MC (main character), and the supporting and extra cast.
Will this fandub cover the full game when it comes out?
It will only cover the demo (in its released state as of November 2025). This is a non-profit passion project for everyone involved, and fandubbing the entire game is not feasible considering the work involved on top of the producer/director Sylekko's real world schedule outside of the world of Eridia.Plus, the fully released game will include official voice acting with entirely different voice actors, which we're excited to support when the time comes! For now, we hope you enjoy our unofficial fan takes on the characters' voices as much as we've enjoyed delivering them.
Was this made with AI?
No, never. We believe in directly supporting human creators and the time, skill, resources, passion, and effort that goes into bringing their creative works to life. From preparing voice acting scripts to recording voice lines to sourcing SFX and music to editing the audio and videos and writing the copy for social media posts and beyond, this project doesn't use any AI, ever--just a lot of hard work and love!

TLDR: thank you to everyone for your support -- this is essentially a message of massive appreciation.Firstly - thank you to the viewers for listening to our dub! I have found this story so compelling and I'm happy that I'm able to bring it to life through audio.I'm especially grateful and appreciative of the kind comments and people who come back again and again for the episode releases. It makes my (and the others') hard work feel extremely appreciated and it really helps me get through the times where my motivation is low in my PhD and/or fandub editing work. It truly does make me smile and can turn my day from an "okay" day to a day full of joy.Thank you to Red Spring Studio for creating a game that has impacted me on both a creative and personal level, as well as for your permission to create a fan project off it.I'm learning so much from this project already in regards to all aspects of media creation, from the recording, editing, production, and marketing sides. It is allowing me to grow and really apply my critical thinking skills in a creative context.Thank you to my wonderful cast; I feel honored to work with such talented people. I've learned so much from them on both a VA level and a personal level - it's so special for me to work with each and every one of them. And a special thank you to Glaive, Lavinia, and Derek for going above and beyond their VA roles to help our project succeed. To Glaive: You've been a huge pillar of support from the birth of this idea, which has given me courage to start the fandub. I feel so privileged and grateful to share this journey with you and to be able to watch each other take steps into creative skills we're unfamiliar with. Your marketing and writing skills are helping me shape mine and your support is invaluable to me.To Lavinia: You are seriously a huge inspiration as VA and with your own passion project (shoutout to Soultrial, which is solo directed by her) and as a person. I'm grateful to work with such a talented friend and creative; your constant perseverance in your life and work gives me strength in mine.To Derek: The first time we called for five hours to record your lines marked the beginning of a truly meaningful friendship for me. I feel so grateful towards you, as you have helped me grow as an editor, a voice actor, a person, and beyond. I can't thank you enough for the sfx/music you've provided, the help with writing our little scripts (disclaimer & your interlude), and your constant help with listening to the 5+ episode drafts to catch random mouth noises, suggest sfx/volume details, and the tiny, meticulous adjustments that make the difference between a good creative product into something greater. You've changed my perspective on creative and personal matters and expanded my horizons in countless ways, and I feel like I can never thank you enough. To everyone (all the viewers, Red Spring Studio, and my cast) -- between your support, your creativity, your contributions, and your kind words -- you've made a difference in my life. I truly hope that my passion project has touched your hearts just as you've touched mine.Love,

1-800-R-U-SEASPRINGING? I had so much fun voicing our resident Seaspring stan, Iris, and I hope you enjoy her episode when it drops.I'm personally really thankful I got the chance to be in this fandub; I've met some great people, learned a lot, and had opportunities open up that I never expected when I first auditioned just hoping to get any role at all (or at least to be able to say I tried lol). As a Touchstarved/LGBTQ+ romance VN fan, it's meant so much and been a blast, and has done wonders for my confidence within and outside of voice acting.Thank you for checking out the fandub and being part of this journey of ours! I really hope you get something positive out of it too. Have a great day! :DSite and social links:

Thank you so much for listening to our fandub of the Touchstarved visual novel! All your support means so much. It fills me with determination to work even harder and really give it my all. I hope you enjoy our wonderful, talented, cast. All of us have been working hard to give you the best dub you could ever lay eyes + ears on!A little bit about Nichu for anyone who was curious -
I have loved voice actors/acting since I was a child but never thought too much about becoming one myself. Voice acting felt like a dream that I would never be able to achieve. Heck, I didnt even know where to start looking even if I did want to pursue it. It was so out of reach that I let my passion fizzle out, telling myself ""it would never happen so why even bother"". I had told myself it was impossible without even trying. That didn't sit right with me, and I had carried it into my adulthood. It had been years since I had even thought about that silly old childhood dream, but something in me felt like I had nothing to lose.Currently, I see voice acting as something that I do just for fun, like reading a book, or knitting a scarf. I made an attempt to pick it up around November of 2025, quietly whispering lines into a shoddy microphone at 4am, so no one would hear me. Eventually. when I got cast for this role, I was so overjoyed, I don't think anything could replace that overwhelming feeling. Knowing that the director listened to my audition and thought ""yep, that's the one"" is on an unmatched feeling of happiness and accomplishment. I was overjoyed, and that feeling was just the bud of a new beginning. Getting to know everyone in the crew has been such an amazing experience, they are all genuinely the sweetest individuals I've ever met. I've gained a supportive community and grown so much confidence in myself, which is irreplaceable. It's awesome! For anyone who is reading this and is feeling stuck in life.. I would like to share some words that I wish I heard when I was down on myself. This feeling won't last forever. It might not disappear in the next five minutes, tomorrow, next month, or the next couple of years.. but know that it is not permanent. It doesn't have to be now, and you never have to rush yourself. The answer might come to you when you least expect it. Life will take you to all kinds of places, if you let it. All it takes is one step to make a difference, so just keep going!Thank you for reading!-NichuSite and social links:
